Catalyze Your Inspired Life: Self-Care in and out of the Workplace
In this workshop, I focus on co-creating a holistic environment where we can share evidence-based tools that have been effective in developing a nourishing foundation for self-care. These practices not only help us as individuals they also positively impact our co-workers, family, friendships and ultimately the people we are lucky enough to serve. This workshop is tailored to meet the needs of individual clients.
“It is a real gift to learn from a teacher who completely embodies and practices what they are teaching. This is the gift of learning from Uncle Bear, who has studied the brain and the heart extensively and has learned to unite them in wondrous heart-full intelligence. Uncle Bear is a skillful teacher and delightful guide to deeper connections.”
I offer this training because after serving in Social Service for 20 years it was clear that so many individuals, including myself, had difficulty effectively utilizing what we knew about self-care. The obstacles that get in our way are many: from the constraints of time in a busy, demanding world to the lack of knowledge about how to effectively identify and communicate boundaries. Having dedicated time to wonder and practice is a great place to learn, co-create and renew. We know that eating whole foods, drinking water, exercise and mindfulness all help increase our overall health so why don't we do this stuff? My training examines what may be getting in the way and offers small actionable steps to creating positive change.
Topics covered in this Workshop:
Mindfulness
Basic Neuroscience
Somatic Practices
Self Compassion
Breath Work
Impact of Personal, Interpersonal and Social Trauma on Self-Care
Play and Creativity
And...lots of energy!
